What are variables in prompts?
Variables are placeholders like {{topic}} or {{tone}} that you define in a prompt. When you use the prompt, you fill in these values directly on the card. One prompt with variables becomes many—no editing required.
Is Promptlr free?
Yes. You can browse, create, and use prompts for free. Sign up to save prompts to collections, like favorites, and share your own.
How do I remix or fork a prompt?
Click the Remix button on any prompt card. You'll get a copy you can edit, add your own variables, and save as a new prompt in your library.
What are collections?
Collections let you organize prompts into groups—e.g. "Email templates" or "Code review". Save any prompt to a collection from the bookmark icon on the card.
Can I use prompts with ChatGPT, Claude, or other AI tools?
Yes. Prompts are plain text. Fill in the variables, copy, and paste into any AI chat. Promptlr works with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and any tool that accepts text input.
